Blade: Single edged blade of hand forged and clay hardened 1095 high carbon steel, polished and etched to bring out the hamon, and honed to a fine edge.

Handle: The handle is cast Red deer stags antler.

Mounts: The bolster and pommel cap are olive wood with copper spacers, and the pommel nut is turned from steel.

Sheath: The blade is housed in an elaborately tooled cowhide scabbard, with a copper bail and suspension ring.
