Blade: 4 3/4" single edged blade of differentially hardened 1075 high carbon steel polished and etched to show the hardening line and honed to a razor edge. The spine is extensively fileworked.

Handle and Mount: The blade has been fitted with a handle of 6000 year old bog oak, deeply hand carved with three bands of three-strand dirk knot knotwork and secured with copper pins. The bolster is heavily filworked mild steel with copper spacer, and the pommel is set with a turned steel finial.

Sheath: The blade is housed in a deep, deeply tooled, riveted pouch sheath assembled with copper bail and suspension loop.
